The Blessed Hands Story
“For I was hungry and you fed me.”
Matthew 25:35
Moved by the daily struggles of many in our community to access basic necessities, Cathy Hughes founded Blessed Hands Food Pantry as a pillar of support. This initiative was born from Cathy’s profound sense of duty to address food insecurity and the acute lack of essential resources in our community. With unwavering dedication, she established not only a food pantry providing reliable access to nutritious food but also a resource center offering crucial support services.
At the heart of Blessed Hands, Cathy’s vision guides programs in job assistance, financial literacy and health resources, all designed to empower individuals and families toward self-sufficiency, dignity and hope. Her entire family stands beside her, supporting her mission and contributing to the pantry’s operations, making this cause a true family endeavor.
Together with community resources and endless support, the food pantry and resource center have transformed into a comprehensive hub where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and succeed. Cathy's commitment ensures that Blessed Hands’s doors are always open, providing more than just meals — they offer a gateway to a better life.
